Grateful is my only word for this night, this studio, this medicine, this tribe… @evoke_yoga_cc I had the pleasure of leading the very first Evoke “Inner Circle” meeting with a lovely cacao ceremony. I am still blown away at the magic and beauty we all cultivated that night. We sipped, shared, and showed up to connect in an even deeper way than just being yogis on our mats. It was a big night for me personally and spiritually as the “space holder” and bringer of the cacao. I prepared for days and took this moment to heart, as a milestone of me doing more “in person” things versus just online. I was surprised at who showed up and that we had so many who were ready to connect at a deeper level with each other… even my aunt Janis surprised me and joined us for the evening to share and laugh with us. She also reminded me of what a blessing being on cape cod is. As for me showing up, I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable and present I was in this space. Not just attending a cacao ceremony, but orchestrating the event. I started out a little nervous with excitement and just wanting to do a good job for everyone, but after we meditated and opened the space, spirit and cacao took over and we all rode the wave until we were ready to go home. Grateful, just grateful for this tribe, this studio, myself, my family, my mentors, and plant medicine. Thank you all for helping me do what I get to do. The seal has been broken, I am off and running, and now planning for the next cacao ceremony on the New Moon… April 19th See you in class tomorrow! 9:30am 🕉️ With a grateful heart ❤️ Dani #evokeinnercircle #cacaoceremony #evokeyoga #yogawithdani #capecod #capecodspirit #capecodrituals #yogaonthecape #evokeyogacapecod

Writing from my cozy studio, daydreaming about the “good ol’ blizzard days”🤣❄️ Someone, again, for the dozenth time, asked me why I didn’t get a hotel room during the blizzard. Camping in my home, with no power, being stripped of a phone, heat and light, for me, was an opportunity to radically disconnect from habits and to connect with myself… just like a real retreat! Shoveling for a few days kept me invigoratingly warm, even inspiring me to run barefoot outside, just for the sensual sensation. A tea and toast treat, made under the white out conditions of raging winds and freezing temperatures, at the village library’s exterior outlet, tasted like a king’s meal. During the nights, an absurd three foot pile of blankets was my snug cartoon nest. After the storm, comparing our “outward bound” experiences, with my girlfriend and her husband, he recounted setting his alarm to go off every hour so that he could feed their wood stove, to keep his two young daughters and wife from “freezing”. Reminiscing, he said, with absolutely no sarcasm, “It was exhausting…YEAH, IT WAS A LOT OF FUN!” I couldn’t have agreed more and we all laughed. It was a lot of fun!! It’s great fun to have the realization that we’re free from requiring certain conditions. It’s a joy to feel agreeable with difficulty, and, speaking objectively- without an ounce of sappiness, it’s joyful to make contact with the basic essence we all share…a cheerful state of acceptance. The storm was a refreshing reset and powerfully reinforced a sense of gratitude for everything…especially not having to drink a blueberry, avocado, spinach, raw cacao and banana smoothie with frost bitten fingers🤣 #retreat #yoga #meditation #shoveling… An everyday meditation practice is a daily inward journey to practice for the everyday outward journey😍
