Eva Lähteenmäen mainio näyttely Vanha paperi, uusi elämä - esillä Galleria Linnasmäessä 12.11. asti.

”Askartelen. Jag pysslar. Olen askartelija. The results are in! With thanks for your patience and interest. … this little project was started 3 weeks ago! (see past posts) All the components have been sorted, cleaned and dried. Here are some of the images:
1. the mound of goods!
2. the two covers. Happily, they remained intact and got some cool textures and coloring.
3. lots of teabags to play with…
4 - 7. tons of variety in depth and type of coloring depending on where they were in the pile, the type/thickness of the paper, and what they were in contact with - hardware, turmeric, teabags, soil, rust
8. interesting! book text from old book page transferred to piece of Kraft paper
9. fabrics - the blue came from one of the book covers
10. traces of red and wine - no idea where the color came from!

Luckily, there were no squirmy things emerging from the two bundles that I had to deal with!
What pleases me a lot is the “authenticity”, for lack of a better word, of the results - mostly the input of the elements from Mother Nature working with the few additives I supplied. Love the folds, holes and all the crinkling…
Fun project. New unique papers to add to my journals!

Happy holidays to everyone! • To get back into the swing of things - the #junkjournal is the way to go! Work is always crazy around the end of the year and I‘m looking forward to some quality time to decompress in my craft room ✂️

As many of you know - I try my best, to use incorporate ephemera I receive in #happymail and what makes me particularly happy, is to tag the people I receive it from ❤️

Oh my goodness! Can I have a drumroll here!!! Absolute stunning #happymail that I have received from Eva @evalaht LOOK AT THAT!! 🤩 We agreed to swap #artisttradingcards and instead of including ephemera, I asked if she would send me a collage of her choosing. She also was so generous to gift me some of her prints and I love her style! Check her out on Etsy ❤️

Thank you so much Eva - you just made my day 🥰

p.s. doesn’t this song just make you happy? I found it so fitting to this post 🕺

One new friend, two old ones, three distant corners of the world (if you are in Canada), three wonderful happy mails from ATC swaps. The first is from Finland. @evalaht and I swapped ATCs for the first time. Her cards are fantastic, elegant and full of vintage charm. The lovely ephemera she sent has the same vibe. The second happy mail is from New Zealand. Dear friend @lulovespaper sent me a super cute ATC, a mini- journal and a beautiful folder with ephemera that shows her magic: everything can be recycled and become something beautiful! Finally the adorable ATC made by @pats_craft, from Singapore. She added a beautiful cluster and those oriental money envelopes that are absolutely stunning! Thank you so much ladies! 💗💗💗💗💗 #atcswap #artisttradingcards #artisttradingcardswap
