Evan Zoric talks to us about stagnation, what he would tell someone who’s afraid to follow their dreams, and more.

A drawing and painting student who often features abstract/disassembled human forms opens up to us about what goes on in their mind, how they stay connected, and what keeps them going. Often difficult to stay relaxed in an ever changing environment, Evan tries to take time in the mornings to try and combat being tense. Like many of us who have absolutely no idea what we’re doing or what the world has in store for us, sometimes giving into uncertainties and letting go can help us more than it might hurt.

He references how he used to get intense dreams when he was younger. Very blue skies, completely clear, something so beautiful yet slightly unsettling. He mentions how no matter what was taking place, the focus would always be the sky, like a deep lake looking back at him, not knowing what might be lurking under the surface. Those dreams translate into his paintings. Almost every piece of work featuring the sky, a free moldable space for the subjects of his paintings to exist in.
