Opening night of “Marilyn” presented by @balletmet 🩰

This production is a collaboration between BalletMet, @oregon.ballet.theatre, and @tulsaballet, inspired by the moment Kim Kardashian appeared at the Met gala in the iconic gown custom-designed for Marilyn by Jean Louis which she famously donned as she sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.”

Equal parts glamorous, heart breaking, relatable, and awe-inspiring, this tribute to a true icon pulled on soooooo many heart strings for me. What it is to be a woman. What it is to fall in love, crave an escape, follow your dreams, realize your goals, long for peace, and grieve intimately. There were so many multitudes to Marilyn, and so many shadows that the spotlight only further highlighted. Seeing such an incredible life interpreted through the choreography, costume design, lighting design *every* *single* *element* just cracked something wide open in me. Thank you @danielmoroyoqui for the invitation to spend an incredible night in awe of the talent behind this production!!!!

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to this. 🥹

Watching hundreds of you show up for Girl Next Door Flea and intentionally choose to spend your money with local collectors, artists, makers + small businesses will never stop blowing me away.

Every vintage piece you took home, handmade thing you fell in love with, booth you stopped at — that money stayed in our community. It went directly into the hands of real people doing something they love. And THAT is why these days mean so much more to me than just putting on a really cool flea market.

You guys could shop anywhere. You could spend that money with massive corporations and fast fashion brands. Instead, you keep showing up here for secondhand, handmade, local, and for each other.

The last FLEA for the Girls was absolutely fucking insane. 😭

To every vendor who put themselves out there, every person who told a friend, and every single girl who walked through those doors and chose to shop small: you are the reason this exists.

Columbus, you keep blowing me away. Thank you for keeping it local. Thank you for choosing small. Thank you for showing the fuck up. ♡

Something about a woman having a quiet confidence about her. She never has to explain herself. She just does everything so gracefully. 💕

“Oh you’re also Lucky Cat Glass?!” Yes yes I am! 🥰 I love when my two businesses collide.

When I first met her. I just started my glass business and had my first market. I was super nervous. Her jewelry business was right next to mine, she was so welcoming and supportive of my art. We ended up trading pieces, but I’ll never forget the community she showed me. She has worked super hard with her craft and her jewelry is absolutely gorgeous so please give her the love! She even gifted me earrings & a keychain at her appointment 🥹
