This cake wasn’t just dessert—it was a moment.

Designed to stand tall and make a statement, it perfectly echoed the elegant mood of the evening at The Westin Atlanta Perimeter. Between the modern florals and clean lines, it felt more like art than anything.

When we talk about elevated reception design, this is what we mean.

Would you go for a statement cake or something more subtle?

Up close and personal with the florals

This lush, textural arrangement was part of our reception tablescape design at The Westin Atlanta Perimeter—a blend of romance and drama, brought to life with deep colors and glowing candlelight.

It’s one thing to plan a beautiful wedding. It’s another to create a mood. And this one? We’re still not over it.

Would you pick bold florals or keep it soft and neutral?

This is the full glow-up

Seeing the entire tablescape come together—from the high florals to the flickering candlelight—was truly magical. Every detail was intentional. Every seat felt like an experience.

This wedding at The Westin Atlanta Perimeter reminded us just how powerful design can be in transforming a space.

What detail do you notice first?

Let's talk about wedding priorities.

What are the top 2 or 3 things that you care about the MOST? We know you care about a lot of things when it comes to your wedding but what are your non-negotiables?

Every couple is different.

For Ugochi and Achille, they cared about their venue and design the most.

A close tie for third was photo/ video, food and entertainment.

Knowing your top priorities before you begin the planning process and before you book any vendors is key because it allows you to adjust your budget numbers to achieve your ultimate goals.

By the way, are you planning your wedding with a detailed budget? That's a topic for another day.

If your venue and decor matters the most to you, we'll increase the percentages for these categories to meet your expectations while still being realistic in the other wedding categories.

Achieving a goal requires a strategy and this is what will help give you the wedding you really want.

What are your top 2-3 priorities for your wedding?

Is a ceremony rehearsal necessary? I think so.

The goal is for everyone to look polished on the wedding day.

And since many people have not been a part of a ceremony before, there are important things to go over in person with everyone like:

⚫ The giving away of the bride
⚫ Where parents sit
⚫ The duties of the maid/ maid of honor at the alter
⚫ How the groomsmen stand
⚫ Pairing of bridesmaids and groomsmen by height
⚫ Etc.

Believe me. All the little details matter.

The purpose of your wedding is to marry your best friend but let's be honest, you want to stunt a little, don't you? You want a memorable event. Something people talk about for months.

I know because that's one of the things my clients secretly want.

Here are 3 ideas to ensure you have an unforgettable VIBE at your wedding:

One: An amazing DJ or live music - Keep guests engaged and on the dance floor all night long with a DJ that understands your specific crowd and what music you love. Or, incorporate live music during the ceremony, cocktail hour or reception. You could also have both by having a drummer or violinist play alongside the DJ during the reception (epic!).

Two: Beautiful, unique and thoughtful decor - If you want that initial "wow" factor, spend time and money on how your wedding looks. I'm a sucker for a lounge area at a wedding, a creative photo background and well thought out experiences with decor.

Three: A surprise live performance - Whether it is a celebrity or a local option (drummer, dancers, ballerina, etc.) guests love surprises and anything out of the norm.

What's one epic thing you have in mind for your wedding? Let me know in the comment section below.
