On June 14, the Dragon Boat Festival celebration took place at UPTP!🤩🐉🎉

The Dragon Boat Festival is a significant Chinese festival which is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Its origin was to commemorate the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. This festival is one of the three major celebrated festivals in Taiwan, together with Chinese New Year and the Moon Festival.

There are various beliefs and traditions that ethnic Chinese do, such as racing dragon boats, eating glutinous rice dumplings (Zhongzi), hanging calamus and moxa on the front door, drinking concoctions and others.

We seek the union of both Paraguayan and Taiwanese cultures, therefore these events help us a lot in terms of learning about new cultures. 🇹🇼🇵🇾

Thank you all for attending the event!👏
