Rose & Ollie got married over the weekend at Rose’s family home.

With family and friends flying in from all over the world, Rose described the day as feeling more like a big party than a traditional wedding.

And if replacing the traditional cake cutting with a cake-style piñata doesn’t give you an idea of the vibe, I’m not sure what will. It was a proper celebration.

INSTA V’s REALITY of a one woman biz with four weddings over the long weekend!

Four of the coolest, kindest, couples that brought me so much joy and not at any point did I think, ‘I don’t want to go to work today’. Never ever!

All got married outside despite the weather tormenting us all week. Vibes in itself.

Four incredible venues with four unreal teams (they aren’t just vendors and venues, they are the friends that never let you down!) they make me so proud to work in this industry when we can pull off what we did, just by simply being ourselves and of course your incredibly hard work!

Some people I feel very grateful for.

Over the last 12 months I’ve had some very difficult times with illness in our family along with some very exciting times with the blessing of falling pregnant.

Both of these huge life moments resulted in needing to make some very secure backup plans for future weddings. Whether due to being a support person, navigating the emotional rollercoaster of what seemed to be ever changing medical results or purely just relentless morning sickness. As someone who prides themselves on reliability and a very positive, ‘can do’ attitude this was really difficult to have to ask for help.

As soon as I put myself out there and shared what was happening with some vendor friends I was overwhelmed by the love, understanding and support that was offered. It blew me away that, these beautiful people, who didn’t owe me a single thing, were so willing to lend a helping hand, to step in if need be, or even just be a shoulder to lean on. It made me appreciate the network and community of vendors around me more than I ever thought.

Working for yourself, even when you have an incredible team, can feel lonely. Sometimes making yourself vulnerable is the strongest thing you can do and the BEST thing you can do for your business.

Thank you to the caring, kind and empathetic women who have stood by me, checked in, listened and just genuinely cared this last year. How lucky I am to know you and have you in my life. Here’s to a fab wedding season ahead ✨
