Just wrapped up performing La Bohème with Westminster Opera Company in this stunning château. I sang the role of Colline, the philosopher — with Guy Hopkins conducting and Stephen Taylor directing. Feel incredibly lucky to have worked with such a brilliant team.

What I’ll treasure most is the spirit amongst the group. A whole bunch of opera lovers gathered in this ancient château — laughter and music everywhere, onstage and off, all supporting one another and growing together. Losing myself in Puccini’s music and Colline’s world, I’ve gained far more than I ever expected.

Grateful, content, and carrying this journey in my heart. 🎭🎶

An incredible two shows this week from @woco_ea and the brilliant singers, orchestra and production team that made it happen, and the beautiful @chateaudepanloy who hosts the performance and team each year.

Watching the performance come together on Thursday evening from the audience and seeing the overwhelmingly positive reactions from everyone was particularly special after spending time with the cast through rehearsals and seeing their hard work pay off.

It’s a huge effort and such a labour of love from everyone involved behind the scenes, and I’ve loved every minute of being a part of it.

Can’t wait to finish the edits and share all the wonderful moments on stage and off ✨

took the eurostar to france 🥐, got dumped, made pictures out of cigarette smoke 🚬💫, joined the military 🪖, took singing lessons in spain 💃, begged for a musician boyfriend 🎻, snagged one eventually, they turned out to be terrible 🤦🏻‍♀️, but it’s okay because we have 10 lovers in castiglione??!!!!

all in 40 minutes’ work 🕵️‍♀️🗺️ (how many songs do you recognise hehe)

what a pleasure to play alongside @evepearsonmaxwellsoprano for her final recital!! we put this programme together in such a short space of time and i’m so proud of the performance we put on today 💓 ((also aren’t her shoes so fabulous))

I’m so honoured to have had the chance to cover Julia (The Departure) and Irina (Four Sisters) at The Royal Ballet & Opera ❤️ Thank you to the Jette Parker Team, David Gowland, Elaine Kidd, Catherine Chibnall, and Talia Stern for your trust - and to the wonderful cover team for all being amazing colleagues throughout this process! It was a deeply rewarding experience bringing these characters to life, with stories that are gut-punching, visceral, and sensual all together. These works really deserve to be heard by a wider audience!

This was my second time directing an Opera Scenes at college , and working again with the unrivalled talent of Philip Engleheart to create these extraordinary costumes and unique worlds for each opera was an utter delight.

A huge congratulations again to all the students you see featured here ! You were an absolute pleasure and it was a total blast getting to know you all and make opera magic with you alongside @ashokguptainsta

Yesterday we performed the cover run for Tales of Love and Loss @royalballetandopera in the Linbury Theatre! I’ve had such a great time covering the roles of Olga (Four Sisters), Maid (Making Arrangements) and Chorus (The Departure) and I’ve loved every minute of working with the most wonderful team of covers!

The Jette Parker Artists are performing Tales of Love and Loss until 9th May…get your tickets while you can!!
