Sometimes, the place where you find your strength starts as the place where you simply feel safe. For @madison.nero , growing up in an abusive household meant finding moments of confidence wherever she couldā€”including sitting at her vanity and looking in the mirror. What started as a safe space eventually became something bigger: a place where she could dream. A ballpark full of heartāš¾ļøā¤ļø Yesterday morning I got to spend time with the @miracleleagueplymouth thanks to @brooke.vanbelle. I had so much fun cheering on the athletes, meeting families, and seeing what makes this organization so special. I also had the honor of singing the National Anthem before the game, which made the morning even more memorable. The athletes were incredible, and I loved seeing how much support surrounded every player on the field. As a former softball player I was truly impressed by their skills! Built for big dreamsšŸ°šŸ‘‘šŸ’–šŸŽ¢ I grew up going to @waltdisneyworld almost every year, so Disney has always been tied to some of my happiest memories. The stories, the princesses, the impossible dreams, and especially the characters who had to overcome something before finding their way forward always stayed with me. This week, I finally made it to @disneyland for the first time, and the reason I was even in California was because of my career. Social media has taken me across the country, and pushed me to keep building skills I never knew would open doors like this. Getting to handle coverage for work and spend a solo day at Disneyland felt like two parts of my life meeting in the same place. Visiting every Disney park is still on my bucket list, but this meant more than checking off another park. @everafterwithmadison is about believing there can be something bigger beyond what you have already lived through. The best PR package Iā€™ve ever received wasnā€™t for mešŸ„° After I posted a video about how much I love @ofracosmetics, they reached out to replace one of my favorite highlighters. Then they surprised me by sending over $600 worth of beauty products specifically for me to donate to @worth_more_nation. Iā€™ve already had the chance to host a confidence and makeup masterclass with the young women they support, so being able to come back with products they can actually use and enjoy means a lot. For me, makeup has always been one small way to build confidence and express who I am. That connects so naturally to @everafterwithmadison and the message behind it. Empowerment does not always start with one huge moment. Sometimes it starts with something small that helps someone feel seen, feel capable, and believe a little more in what is possible for them. The 35th chapter of @misswaynecountymi begins by honoring the 34 women who built its legacyšŸ’Œ Iā€™m incredibly grateful to step into a title shaped by so many accomplished, service-minded women over the years. And @ameera_hashwi, having you be the one to pass this title on to me made the moment even more specialā¤ļø Our time at @missamericami was spent staying up way too late learning the opening number dance (and maybe accidentally waking up a few girlsā€¦sorry šŸ¤­), talking about life while I helped with fake eyelashes backstage, and sitting together at the Family & Friends Brunch. To go from sharing those little moments together to having you crown me Miss Wayne County felt incredibly full circle. As I begin my year, I hope to build on everything these women created by expanding the reach of Miss Wayne County, strengthening relationships with sponsors and local businesses, growing the impact of @everafterwithmadison, and creating meaningful connections throughout our community. Iā€™m also proud to follow in the footsteps of the Miss Wayne County titleholders who have gone on to find success at Miss Michigan. Their accomplishments are a reminder of what is possible, and Iā€™m excited to work toward representing Wayne County on that stage with the same strength, purpose, and pride. A dream that you wish will come trueā€¦ I am the 35th @misswaynecountymi! Walking away with over $1,000 in scholarship money, the Overall Interview Award, the Stronger Together Scholarship Award, and a tie for the On-Stage Question Award is incredibly meaningful to me, not only because of the work Iā€™ve poured into this year, but because of the years of growth and perseverance that led me here. I signed up for my first pageant during one of the darkest times in my life, searching for hope and something to believe in. Since then, Iā€™ve wanted the opportunity to use my voice, my experiences, and my story to make a difference in the lives of others. Thatā€™s why I created @everafterwithmadison, and itā€™s the mission Iā€™m honored to continue as Miss Wayne County. There were times when I didnā€™t know what my future would look like. Day by day, I built my own ever after, and now I get to spend the next year encouraging others to believe in whatā€™s possible for their own lives, too. Being welcomed into the Miss Wayne County legacy is an incredible honor, and I donā€™t take that responsibility lightly. Thank you to Sheila, Ameera, the volunteers, judges, my coach, my family, and my friends for believing in me every step of the way. This title means so much more to me than a crown.
