Nigerian voting public is again advised to shun vote-selling in the build-up to the 2023 general election. This advice was given at the 'Sell Market No Be Vote' Project sensitization outreach at Utako Ultra Modern Market, Utako, Abuja.

The two-day event which commenced on Wednesday 26th of October, 2023,
saw the organizers and volunteers sharing fliers through shop-to-shop, stall-to-stall, and person-to-person interactions, educating traders on the need to secure their children's future by shunning persons who may want to buy their votes on election day.

On day two of the two-day campaign, members of the public including buyers, sellers, volunteers, partners, and the organizers converge in a location at the market. Basic medical tests were provided on the spot and attendees were further educated on the need to shun votes buying and selling.

Petty traders, hawkers, and small business owners were advised on various demands they can make on politicians who approach them during this election period, such as specific policies that will induce growth for small businesses.

Refreshments were given to participants while folks were treated to some dancing competitions as part of entertainment at the event.

The Sell market No Be Vote Project is organised by Everest Helping Minds Foundation, League For Social Justice International, Emerald Elderly Care and Development Foundation, Zitadel Medicals & Diagnostics, etc. With technical support from Campaign Bootcamp NG.

The project will also be executed in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Anambra, Kano, and other states before the General Elections in February 2023.
