I love getting stuff in the mail. I love my drawing Ella.. it’s the best and I really love my jacket… thank you! My sister Jaida left today.. I’m going to miss her. To keep busy I helped mommy chop vegetables for the salad. I love to be a helper. I’ve had lots of kitty snuggles for sure this weekend. Oakley is just sooo cute. I was at the ball field again and I was able to go to my buddy Oliver’s birthday party. I could stay for long at the energyplex because I really wanted to do everything but when I tried a few things I got ouchie hurts! So mommy and daddy took me to the arcade and playing games is so much fun!! I sat and had a cupcake with Oliver and kisses for inviting me. I fell asleep on the way home that was a busy day! My friend Xavier stopped by and dropped these cool sunglasses and a cool new dress!! It was fun playing with him!! Thank you for coming by!!!

I don't post many photos of myself, but I wanted to challenge everyone to do something worthwhile this summer and donate blood, like I just did today.

My mom was a nurse with Canadian Blood Services and the Canadian Red Cross for over 25 years, and later in her life she needed dozens of units of blood - each a gift from a total stranger - as part of her cancer and heart interventions.

So I know first hand the importance of blood donation. I also know from today's experience that donors are less diligent about showing up to the clinics during the summer, even though the need for blood is super high.

If you are an irregular donor, or have never donated, please take a moment to call 1-888-2DONATE to book an appointment today. And if you can't donate, please consider volunteering; you'll even get a sweet red shirt like mine!

Donating blood is free; it takes nothing more than some of your time and your courage. I'm sure you can muster a bit of both and make a big difference.

Thanks,
Everett

Codename: Yellowjacket. 🐝 Just before dropping into my first double black run of the year. In hindsight I should have posted this prior to starting, in case the @sunshinevillage ski patrol needed help to locate my mangled remains.

Some days, when the snow and weather are just OK, I take solace in the fact that at least I get to look like a frickin' superhero when I go skiing.
