Day 13 of @thefriendlytownfilm and THAT’S A WRAP! What a wonderful day to close things out, and how perfect that it was the birthday of @mare.nandes one of our incredible leads. I can’t shout out each and every one of the people in this cast & crew enough for all the amazing work put into this film. This had a really magical sense of true “togetherness” and it permeated every day we shot together. I’d follow each and every one of you into battle any day of the week, and I truly hope I get to work with every single person again.

Making movies is something I’ve spent my whole life dreaming about and working towards, and those long days on set where you’re sunburnt, or jumping up and down to keep feeling in your fingers and toes, it still feels so magical to me and I’m so thankful that I get to do this work, made so much more rewarding when I get to do it with amazing people. You’re all rockstars, and I seriously can’t wait to sit in the theatre and watch this labour of love with you all! Now I go sleep. That’s it. The Friendly Town signing off… for now!

Day 12 of @thefriendlytownfilm and we’re absolutely bringing it home with a bang! Back to back days at Canada’s favourite Cold War museum (I’m assuming) and honestly I can’t believe we’re about to wrap production on this project, but I’ll save the sappy stuff for tomorrow. We got one last push and it’s all hands on deck! This crew is amazing.

Day 9 of @thefriendlytownfilm and we’re moving today! Gotta get those steps in. A fun day around the Old Town Hall and some super impressive work from all our extras. And of course @radiofree.roscoe always available to look 🔥!
Special thanks to @lam.mandy and @ellapcharlotte for providing some content for today’s post.

Day 8 of @thefriendlytownfilm and we’re doing some CanCon collaboration with a little hat tip to @dreameatermovie - and in sadder news, that’s a picture wrap on Mr. & Mrs. Marsh - @willmottdan and @meganfahlenbock - It was a pleasure to watch you guys work, and I nearly ruined a couple of takes of theirs with my involuntary laughter. Can’t wait to see the cut!

Last week we welcomed our very first styled wedding shoot at The Loft and it honestly felt like such a full-circle moment 🤍

One of the biggest dreams for this space was creating somewhere photographers, creatives, and vendors could come together and bring ideas to life. Seeing that happen already has been so special.

Crimson whispers, frozen mid-bloom…
a sweetness that feels almost forbidden, like it knows a secret it won’t share and something untamed lingers beneath!!
