Seeing the finished cars surrounded by the Azur Lane community made all the work worth it 🥹

Over the past four months, we had the opportunity to work closely with @azurlane_official to bring two new itashas into their lineup for the 8th Anniversary.

From our first conversations, we knew two well-built GR86s would be the perfect platform for the project. But we also wanted each car to tell its own story.

For one design, we focused on the summer theme of the 8th Anniversary, building around a bright California beach aesthetic that felt fitting for both the celebration and the setting.

For Bennington, we wanted to create something completely different. The moment we were introduced to her, our minds immediately went toward gyaru culture, which eventually developed into the graffiti-gyaru aesthetic you see on the finished car.

From the first concepts to the final designs, production, installation, and showcase, we worked closely with the Azur Lane team every step of the way. We’re incredibly grateful for the trust they placed in us and for how open and collaborative the entire process was.

This project became more than simply putting two itasha designs on two cars. It was about creating something special for Azur Lane’s 8th Anniversary and giving both vehicles their own identity while still feeling like part of the same celebration.

We’re incredibly thankful that Azur Lane trusted Dreamscape with this project, and we hope this is only the beginning of many more projects together in the future.

Special thank you to everyone who helped bring the project together:

• Ed & Sofia over @xpressskins (our closes partners) — Ensuring printing went smoothly
• @bennyydesu — main videographer
• @aisu.arw — support videographer
• @tsuzuribrz — main installer
• @reyes_garage_ — main mechanic
• @castellontires_ — making sure both vehicles were properly fitted with new tires

And of course, thank you to everyone in the Azur Lane community who came out, shared the cars, and made the final reveal feel as special as it did.

Four months of work, and one unforgettable 8th Anniversary.
