Our vet mission trips to Guatemala are always a whirlwind of setting up/breaking down a clinic that doesn’t exist when we aren’t there and of trying to treat and help every single animal we can during our short time with them. It can be a lot. So we all make sure to take moments to notice the beauty around and within us, to relate to others, to create connections, to forge new friendships, to just be. We somehow are always able to find the peace within the chaos. www.cohguatemala.com 💜

This little one came to our Sanctuary in Guatemala in October with severe trauma to his right eye. Dr. Lauren Peter removed the damaged tissue, eliminating the source of pain and infection. We are happy to announce that our little pirate was adopted today from #corazonesjutiapanecos and now has a forever home filled with love. We love a happy ending! 🥰🙏🏻 Contact us at COHGuatemala@gmail.com to be a part of the magic. 💜

Please join me in recognizing one of our extremely important volunteers at the #centreofhopeguatemala. Sarah Tingle is a certified veterinary technician who has been to all but a couple of our vet mission trips. She is a crucial and integral part of our team. She is Queen of the Induction Room, leader of any and all emergency cases, calculator of all drug doses, inventor of “Uncle Tingle’s Sleepy Cheese”, teacher with the patience of a saint, organizer of all supplies, and an overall amazing human being with a beautiful heart. Thank you, Tingle, for all that you are and all that you give so selflessly. And thank you to #VEG, #VeterinaryEmergencyGroup for lending her to us twice yearly. 💜Contact us at COHGuatemala@gmail.com

A few of our team members visiting the shelter in Guatemala that provides us with our patients. Corazones Jutiapanecos A Favor de los Perritos is run by an amazing man with a humongous heart, Nery Salguero, and his beautiful family. We are so grateful for them and their tireless efforts to save the lives of all the abused, abandoned, and broken dogs and cats in our little forgotten part of the world. God Bless Them. 💜#cohguatemala #vetmission #sanctuaryofhopeguate

Meet Dr. Heather Rogers, a veterinarian and surgeon extraordinaire, who has been with our mission since its inception in 2018 and who I am so very proud to call my friend. Heather is a huge reason why the Sanctuary of Hope has been such a great success, and we hope she will be with us always. Www.cohguatemala.com or email at COHGuatemala@gmail.com. 💜
