RCR 2026 .

This has taken me a really long time to make a post about due to reflecting on the season. This is without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever done. Yet, the most rewarding. From learning the packet 2 weeks before the last audition camp to the nights of bad sleep in hot gyms or crapped in the bus. I would give up so much to do it again with these people. Even the moments that I hated so much because it was hard, made the end product worth it. I meet some of the most hard working people this summer that made it a little bit easier to get through the days because I knew everyone was feeling the exact same way. RCR ‘26

I can’t put in words just how much this drum corps season meant to me. From sleeping on gym floors to sleeping through a bus breaking down in the middle of the night, each of these 55 days were filled with lasting memories. I grew not only as a player, marcher, and performer, but also as a person. So to the staff, members, and most importantly battery and 8BIG, thank you. Thank you for making this RCR family so incredibly special to me.

rcr tour done🥹

for my first season of marching outside of high school i had no idea what to expect from this experience. this is probably one of the hardest things i’ve ever done mentally, but also one of the most rewarding experiences ive ever had. despite all of the challenges thrown my way i pushed through it and i got better.

to all the staff, thank you for believing in this group and pushing us to get better every single day. your guidance and support really helped get where i wanted to be this season.
to the snares, thank you guys for everything. i wouldn’t want to do this with any other line. for being in an all rookie line, we did this better than i could’ve ever imagined. i’m gonna miss grinding with you guys all day, getting better and having fun. i’m excited to see where some of you guys end up in the future.

8/3 & 8/4 - Open Class Prelims and Finals - RCR2026

Actual Week 7 | 4 Days left at time of writing this, 3:49 AM

This week is gone in the blink of an eye, so much so I missed the post date by a day. Finals week is on and I have had so much fun this past week, except for that bus ride to Fairfield where we got there at the crack ass of dawn, we still got good floor time though

The next day I'm pretty sure we had a normal rehearsal day like usual and we were putting on the thrusters in subs especially for our split rolls. The next day, we had a show and we had probably the best subs/lot ever in my opinion, but then it absolutely POURED on us and the show got cancelled

The next day we had a normal rehearsal with a twist, we got to watch SCV rehearse, and perform their show since we were sharing rehearsal sites. They also got to watch our show and it was the absolute most hype we had ever, we played our hearts out and staff agreed it was probably our best rep. We got permission for the Surfer

The next day I think we had another rehearsal where we had subs for most of the time then cleaned a ton of part 2 lot drill in the 2nd block. After the block it was a travel day to the next housing site, which was still in Ohio btw but 4 hours away. This, I remember very well because about 30 minutes into the ride, the brass bus broke down and actually didn't work at all. So perc bus left to the housing site, then Ashley, our bus driver, had to DRIVE ALL the way back to pick up the brass which was insane

The next day we slept till about 830, which was when the brass bus got here and they needed floor time so the fricken snares and quads had to field line which lwk sucked. Then we had 2 rehearsal blocks and then it was time for the Marion open. I got to see my Mb3 friend Grant and he saw our show, then me and my friend Jack Vossen got pizza and Dr Ps from the concessions they had there before the ride back. Back at the housing site we had to EPL which was difficult because we only had one bus, we got back around 11 PM and we were supposed to leave at midnight, but it took almost 4 HOURS until the new bus came here to take us to Michigan. On that ride, it was the first time I slept on the bus floor, between santis legs of c

Proof of Existence at Spring Training with RCR

The first week of DCI is in the books and I must say it has been the best and most fun experience I've ever had in my life. Over these last 7 days have been long and hard but I've been creating so many memories with a bunch of amazing people. I'm so happy with how the show sounds and I love the peaceful vibes across all sections.

Thank you so much to my amazing techs, @nelslebakken for always seeing the light and good in things even during the tough mental hardships. It means the world to me that I have staff that are always looking out for the members and being motivations for the line.

Also thank you to my snareline that's always pushing each other to be better within the line and just being friends overall. I love this snareline and the people on it. I'm glad I can do it with these guys for a whole summer I am truly grateful.
