We loved welcoming back our Graduate Brushstroke Student, Evie @eviegostlinghmua who completed our 2-Year BTEC Hair & Makeup Diploma, to speak to our new first-year students!
Evie shared insights into her journey since graduating, including her experience working on exciting film productions such as Wicked and Digger. 🎥 She also spoke about the importance of barbering within the film and TV industry giving our students a valuable insight into the many opportunities available to them.

We were thrilled to welcome back Evie, one of our graduates from the 2-year BTEC course at Elstree Studios, who returned today, this time as an industry professional, to share her journey with our current students 🎬

Evie gave an honest and inspiring insight into life in the industry, answering student questions and breaking down what’s expected at every level. From trainee to assistant and beyond. She also spoke about her experiences on big productions, including Wicked (Parts 1 & 2), and shared stories from her time on set.

A Thousand Blows - Disney Plus
A great period drama which has really good writing, directing and cinematography. Set in London in the 1800s showing the world of illegal bare knuckle boxing, crime, ambition, there’s a great depth of storytelling, the character dynamics bought by a wonderfully talented cast who are great actors and who nail the accents, the costumes and sets was true to the time it was set in and everything bought together made it a great watch.
