Three young emerging forces keeping the UK underground alive: Vestia, Evil Dungeon Crawler and Parusight.

If you don't fancy heading down to the Scarborough Spa on Friday to see Watain, Terrestrial Hospice and Blood Countess in the Grand Hall, this is on for free at The Cask to anyone with a weekend festival pass. Capacity is super limited (150) and this year there was a queue that snaked for miles. So if you need to be in here, you need to get down early. Doors will likely be at 19:00.

💜 Artist Spotlight 💜

@ironaltarmetal will be a part of both Obsidian Gathering Vol: I at @boom.leeds as well as The Night Before taking place at @little.buildings !
Formed in Edinburgh in 2016 the Scottish 5 piece draw influence from a range of progressive death metal, discordant sludge and visceral metallic hardcore. The band have extensively toured the UK and Ireland, increasingly prevalent since 2023’s well received record ‘Promethean’ was released via Trepanation Recordings. The band have appeared alongside a wide range of acts including Heriot, Conan, Hellripper, Blood Red Throne and Baest as well as appearances at numerous festivals including Bloodstock 2023. A new record for 2026 (Title and release TBC) has just been tracked at No Studio in Manchester with mastermind Joe Clayton (Conjurer, Wallowing, Underdark) behind the desk. The new album features the most focussed, punishing and ambitious material the band has produced, with the band pushing themselves in intensity, performance and songwriting.

Tickets to both Obsidian Gathering Vol: I and The Night Before are available now via the link in bio 🎟️

There are those who paint with colors, words, and sounds. Its final form may be entrancing upon the eyes, but the question always remains: how does it feel? What do you feel? In some instances, the eyes would be inebriated, but the soul would be left insatiable. In sooth, the crux of art resides within its hearth, the energy to connect with the mind and, through its traversal, render unto it an experience that is not of this world.

‘The Unending Vomiting of Northern Blasphemies,’ an EP by Evil Dungeon Crawler, is a testament that within a morsel of time, the mind can be ushered into a new realm, for even if the body is static, the soul will ascend to such an experience. Through the use of old-school Black Metal, with an archaic lo-fi sound akin to such bands as Darkthrone, parts of Carpathian Forest, and also in a similar aura to Heath...
