Ask any of our campers, and they’ll tell you the fun learning at Wesley House never stops, but the numbers tell an even bigger story! A huge thank you to our incredible program team, community partners, and all of the families who trusted us with their youth this summer. We can't wait to do it again next year, but we hope to see many of our campers right back here for our after-school program this fall! 🎒📚

A special thank you to our amazing guests from Make It Count and VisionSPEAK for spending time with our campers this week! 💛

Through engaging activities and meaningful conversations, our campers learned the importance of friendship, choosing kindness, and strengthening their listening skills. These lessons help build confidence, respect, and stronger connections that extend far beyond camp.

Our Sankofa campers took learning beyond the classroom with a special field trip to Sankofa Sanctuary. Surrounded by nature, they explored, discovered, and connected with the world around them while creating memories together.

A special thank you to Auntie Z for capturing these beautiful moments and helping us preserve the memories from such a meaningful day. 📸💚

Yesterday’s enrichment was as sweet as it was creative! 🧁🐷

Come along with our Sankofa campers as they mix, decorate, and bring their pig cupcakes to life from start to finish. Every step was filled with creativity, teamwork, and plenty of smiles as our campers learned that the best treats are the ones made together.

Today was packed with nonstop activities for our kids at DELTA Summer Camp! Our campers enjoyed educational time in the classroom, basketball drills, cooking class, enrichment activities, competitions, and even custom sneakers through @klutchcustoms_2 for a handful of students!

It’s hard to believe we only have 6 more days of Summer Camp! ☀️🏀📚👟

Communication is key! 🗣️🤝

Our Sankofa Summer Camp campers put their teamwork to the test with a fun building challenge! Team One and Team Two were each tasked with creating a random place or object BUT there was a twist. 👀

The speaker couldn’t see what their teammate was creating and the builder could only rely on directions given over their shoulder! This activity challenged campers to practice active listening, clear communication, patience, and trust while working together toward a common goal.

The results? Creative, fun, and a reminder that when we listen to one another, we can build something amazing together. 💛

Fun is always in session at Sankofa Summer Camp... but so is learning! 📚✨

Every day is filled with opportunities to laugh, play, create, and grow. While our campers are making memories with friends, they’re also strengthening their reading, math, critical thinking, and teamwork skills through hands-on academic enrichment that keeps learning exciting.

Because summer should be a time where children can have fun and continue building the confidence they’ll carry into the school year. 🌱
