Capturing the love and bond between a mother and baby will forever be my favourite thing to photograph 🤎

Photos taken at my recent breastfeeding mini session fundraiser with @evolve_midwifery.

Proceeds of $1600 have been sent to @mothersmilkbank_charity and it feels so amazing to support the wonderful work they do for babies in need. 💫

One of the mothers who booked in for a session had actually used donated milk from @mothersmilkbank_charity for her own baby who was in NICU, to increase her chances of survival, which I think is just a beautiful full circle moment. 🥰

In this live event recording, our panel guests cover matrescence and why becoming a mother is an expansion rather than a loss of self, why your body needs softness rather than a bounce back, the expectations that make feeding so emotionally loaded, and what meaningful support really looks like.

Fridays are for sessions with Anne 🤍

Anne Endres brings decades of experience to Canberra Women & Babies as one of our in-house midwives and lactation consultant, having first supported families as a private midwife in Germany in 1997.

On Fridays, Anne is here to offer a familiar face, a listening ear and experienced support as you prepare for birth, feeding and those early days with your baby.

It’s all part of the continuity of care we value so deeply at CWB — surrounding you with people you know and trust throughout your pregnancy and into parenthood.

In Episode 13, I speak with Anne Endres (@evolve_midwifery), Canberra midwife and IBCLC lactation consultant. Anne has supported many women across Canberra in their feeding challenges and is widely considered a bit of a "boob whisperer".

Anne looks beyond the latch and sees the whole woman. We talk about why feeding is so emotionally loaded, the reasons breastfeeding can get hard, how Anne supports women through it, and what you can do before birth to prepare for your own feeding journey.

Listen now wherever you get your podcasts, or find the link in bio.
