There’s something special about seeing athletes you once coached hit a major life milestone. Over the weekend I celebrated a college graduate, and it’s a reminder that the impact of sports goes far beyond the stopwatch. Proud moment all around. Congratulations Estephania!

Jack of all trades, Master in Accounting🚬🧾 At 22 years old, I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting in just four years. As a first-generation college student, this milestone means more than I can put into words. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey — every interaction on the way to class, conversations in the hallways, meals at J2, scooter rides, bus rides back from 6th, ACL weekends, OU weekend, football games at DKR, and all the group projects along the way. The memories we made on the Forty Acres will stay with me forever, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. This is the biggest milestone of my life so far, and I owe it all to my family. My parents immigrated to a country where they had nothing and were promised nothing, yet they sacrificed everything to create opportunities for me. Because of them, I am officially a Texas Ex 🤘🏼 and part of the 8% of Latinos in the United States who hold a graduate degree. This accomplishment is not just mine It belongs to my family, my community, everyone who believed in me along the way, and those who cheer me on in silence.🐄🎓
