September was a lot.

some big things ended and I said goodbye when I never thought I would, but there were a lot of new beginnings too. I met a bunch of my work homies in person for the first time and bonded way more than I expected. I cried from laughing & also from pain, sometimes in the same day lol. somehow I’m doing fine, some days even thrivin’. just don’t ask me how, I’m still figuring that out.

Nostalgic, not sad. October, be nice. 🫶🏽

Bentley boy, you weren’t just a dog, you were family. (Mom affectionately called you “my brother,” and I’m 99% sure you were the favorite 🤣.) You brought us all so much comfort, so many laughs, and the occasional confusion thanks to your little quirks. Thank you for being a good companion to Dad, and an even better best friend to Mom for the past 17 years… for keeping her company when she needed it most. The house will feel a bit quieter without you (although Ozil🐕 will definitely try to make sure it’s not), but our hearts will always remember you.

Hope you’re enjoying all the treatos, pup cups, and shredded chicken. P.S., say hi to Dad for me up there. 🤍🐾

Going thru some old albums and found some good pics of my Dad & fam ❤️📷

It is with a very heavy heart I share the news that my Dad, Thomas Buechner passed away this morning. My Mom and his faithful doggo Bentley were by his side. Even with the disease starting to really take hold and show symptoms, my Dad never complained. Always ready to talk with anyone to share a random baseball stat, political fact or the good types of beer. He truly lived by the famous Babe Ruth quote… “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from coming up to bat.”

My heart is broken but I feel a bit of peace knowing you’re finally getting to enjoy a nice glass of scotch again, chatting it up with some of the greats (baseball players) while watching a game behind home plate.

I will forever love and miss ya, Pops 💔
