If you would’ve told me a year ago that I’d be performing burlesque I’d most likely think you were lying. Around this time last year I was spiraling and in a deep depression. For several months, I felt like I kept hitting rock bottom to where I did not recognize myself. Some days I just didn’t want to exist.
One day, I saw the ad for a beginner burlesque class from @marierisque_ . I thought to myself “why not?” so I decided to take a leap of faith and try out a class for myself. Marie did such an amazing job teaching her class that I had so much fun and it made me want to do more. Once I found out, she was doing a mentorship I decided I’d sign up for it.
I remember being so nervous my first day of class. I have worked in ruthless industries before and I was expecting to meet some cutthroat classmates. And boy was I wrong. I got to dance with some of the most amazing uplifting and inspiring people ever. I’m so grateful to have such an amazing burly fam. @sammie_st.harlow @olivexlovelace @theladymazikeen @kira.amorx @celineivyx @mickymischief_burlesque @joseonyx
You all have made such a major impact in my life and I’m so grateful to have you guys! Thank you🖤🖤🖤🖤
Also big shout out to my love @lord_pojo for being my cheerleader.
Thank you to every single one of you that showed up to my debut! Love you all 💋
