not only is the upcoming show a celebration (@fionnmaris birthday), it will also be for a good cause. tomorrow's event will be in support of @stpetershospice.

St Peter's Hospice is a bristol based charity that provides free adult hospice care. From those diagnosed with a life-limiting illness to those who care for and about them, St Peter’s has been offering tailored and holistic support to people in need across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset for over 40 years.

there will be a bit of fundraising throughout the show. we even have an official branded bucket!

the final member of the mega-bat band supporting BS this weekend is lead guitarist iain. as a recent new addition to the band, he has been there since the beginning.

having lost a part of his thumb two years ago, iain strives to show that playing the guitar is not all about the hands.

fluent in french, due to his studies on The Continent, iain brings a certain 'cygne mouillé' to the sound of the band. he won't be speaking french at the show, as it is "not a party trick, adam".

avril plays the drums and is currently studying for her grade 4. she is the heart and soul of mega-bat, nothing happens without her say so. we think that she's only in the band because she has a crush on fionn.

very good at double parradoodles, and minecraft.

next up on our series of "white men who play guitar" is @filmm.music . fionn hails from the lofty heights of a tottenham, being born in an area townhouse.from what he's not learnt on the streets, he is capable in the sheet (music).

fionn has strong opinions on palestine but he keeps them close to his chest, like a proper musician should.

fionn is the guitarist for mega-bat and has been since he was. he is going to be at the show. he is nervous.

to give you all a taste of what's to come at the show, we want to present to you the fantastic musicians supporting us on the salisbury leg of our tour.

up first is hayden, long term bassist for mega-bat. hayden hails from salisbury originally, so this will be a return to his stomping ground - but more importantly, a return after 15 years (due to politically sensitive reasons).

he has been missed in the salisbury music scene, but with his comeback comes the opportunity to experience his creative flare, unique take on note choice, and indepth knowledge of his instrument.

to quote hayden, "bass isn't necessary in music. but i'm happy to do my part".

here it is, it's officially happening. Butterfly Sandwich are nervous to announce our 10 year anniversary show at the @thewinchestergate in Salisbury, Saturday 17 October.

expect all the chart topping hits you know and love, plus some less regularly played numbers we don't normally get the chance to bring on stage.

we'll have some excellent support from legacy rockers Mega-Bat, the beautiful voice of @ben_hutchesonmusic, and some 'additional entertainment' from @oddjobsbob_ .

free entry on the door, but we are raising money for the charity St Peter's hospice, we so will have a coin bucket and all that on the night. might sell some CDs too.

the more people that turn up, will mean there are more people in the audience, which means more people who are standing listening in the room, which would be nice.

and thus begins our six weeks of pestering you all about this. BS x
