Savannah, are you ready for another season of @ghostpirates hockey?! We had the opportunity to attend Media Day, where we met some of the newest players, chatted with the assistant coach, and got the inside scoop on what everyone is looking forward to this season! One thing that stood out? Almost everyone mentioned the AMAZING Savannah community and how excited they are to see the fans cheering them on at every game! Afterward, we headed over to the new Ice Cove rink, where we got to see the players in action during a scrimmage game! It was so much fun watching them hit the ice and getting a little sneak peek at what’s to come this season! And the best part? The SEASON OPENER IS TODAY! So dust off your green gear, get ready to cheer, and let’s show our Ghost Pirates some Savannah love! LET’S GO PIRATES!

Did someone say CARBS?! What has carbs and is absolutely delicious? @firstcitybrewing, but of course! @yelpsavannah wanted to bring back the carbs, so naturally, we had to throw a little party! EJ and Lindsay, the amazing owners of @firstcitybrewing, treated us to a tasting of four delicious brews, including a pumpkin spice cider that instantly put me in the sweater weather mood! @specialspizza is NOW OPEN, and boy, is it delicious! I stopped by during First Friday in the Starland District, and this place was HOPPING! The energy was amazing, the pizza was delicious, and it was so fun seeing everyone come out to support this new spot. There’s just something about grabbing a fresh slice of pizza and soaking up the lively Starland atmosphere that makes for the perfect Friday night! A little bit of rain couldn’t stop me from enjoying a sunset cruise with @savannahriverboat! This ride was so relaxing. I spent the evening sipping on the @thesavbananas special Banana Daiquiri, (available for two weeks only), while sitting back with a book and taking in the beautiful river views. But if relaxing isn’t your thing, there was plenty happening on board! A DJ was playing all the biggest hits, guests were enjoying dinner, and plenty of people spent the entire night dancing! The two-hour cruise takes you up the Savannah River to the bridge before turning around and heading downriver, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the views before making your way back to the dock. Rain or shine, this was such a fun and relaxing way to spend an evening in Savannah! 🚢⚓️🌅

Not too many people know this, but I actually inherited @savorsavannah from someone else. It all started one night when I was lying in bed, unable to sleep because I was nervous about going to my very first in-person @yelpsavannah event the next day. I had no idea what to expect, so naturally, I was scrolling through Instagram stories. The original owner of @savorsavannah posted, “I’m moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. Does anyone want this account?” I messaged her immediately and asked, “What’s the catch?” 😂 She said, “Nothing,” and just like that… she gave me complete control of the account. I was SHOCKED. I had lost all of my photos when my computer crashed a while back, so I thought this account would be the perfect place to keep a backup of all of my Savannah adventures. Little did I know what it would become. Now here we are at 3,000 followers. I’ve never really considered myself an “influencer” because this has never felt like work to me. It’s simply something I genuinely love doing. But this little account has given me some of the most incredible experiences and, even better, introduced me to so many amazing people along the way. Every time someone comments on a post, introduces themselves when they see me out around Savannah, tells me they tried somewhere because of @savorsavannah, or the amazing companies and restaurants who reach out to me and allow me to try new food or experiences I wouldn’t normally get to try. it still blows my mind. I will forever be grateful for this account, proud of what it has become, and thankful for every single one of you who has followed along on my Savannah adventures. Here’s to 3,000 followers… and hopefully another 3,000! 🥂❤️ Thank you for being here. Truly.
