It’s not much of a throwback this Thursday, but we had a great time at @aacxcyclocrossrace and @ex2adventures backyard burn at Lake Fairfax on Sunday. Pair of 🥉 and lots of pals! Thanks to @melanie.campbell and @bikepackingdc for the photos (and Bo!) #kneadforspeed #teamstickyfingers

Runners and Hikers trained for months. Did you train to be their hype crew?

How do you choose 20 images from such an epic day? These only scratch the surface of the countless smiles and mini-celebrations that runners conjured up from deep inside on what was not the best running conditions ever experienced.

Hope you enjoy these and know that there are many more to come from the 2026 @ex2adventures Rocky Gap 50K/25K trail race.

While the remains of Isaias dropped 2.5-3” of rain across the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians, hundreds of runners laced up their shoes, pulled tight their hoods, and set out on an epic adventure on the trails of Rocky Gap State Park. They knocked off a three loop course and completed either 25K or 50K, some finishing just minutes before the 6:30 PM cutoff.

We’ll have a lot more photos to share soon, but wanted to show you this instant classic pouring rain jump shot before going to bed for the night.

Venture quest 2026...

I had the privilege to race another @ex2adventures event with the amazing @broadrunoffroad team for the second time. We cleared the course in 6hr 24min taking home 2nd overall in the 8hr race, only being overtaken by @gritadventureracing (@jessetubb I thought you were going to take it as a easy race 🤣)

But seriously thank you to everyone that allows me to compete in these events and thank everyone for the support.

What a privilege it is to be able to suffer and be alive.

Kayaking is not for the weak 😆

This was from my first adventure race, VentureQuest 8-Hour with @ex2adventures ! September 12th, 2026

In this adventure race, you have to find checkpoints while trekking, paddling, and biking. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!

I had never kayaked before this, and it is HARD 😭. Every time I thought I was finally getting the hang of it, my arms would get tired and I’d start drifting away from where I was trying to go 😂

Before my next adventure race, I should take some kayaking classes.

Had a lot of fun though! @ex2adventures knows how to put on some great races 🙌🏾
