POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Finally got to hold my dissertation in my own two hands!! Wanted to share my dedication page and acknowledgments. To current phd students, just know that the endless task of writing does, in fact, end - though it probably won’t feel like it until you put on your hood at graduation. Even so, holding this 200+ page book (!!!) almost doesn’t feel real. As I said above, thank you to everyone who helped me along the way. 💚

We love seeing our hand-printed secondhand shirts out in the wild! Come early to Apple Fest for the best selection, as each piece is one-of-a-kind, and we have limited quantities. This will be our last market for a while (more on that to come), so be sure to stop by!

(Swipe to the end for a surprise) 🌼🐕🌼

Every year I try to collage a new Rosh Hashanah card in time to digitise and mail to loved ones. This year it felt right to finally merge my 10-year running Sweet Girls Collage Series with my Judaica art and create this sweetness-imbued, honey-loving pin-up amidst a Rosh Hashanah dinner tableau. The cherry on top? Adding my first ever linocut design (a pomegranate of course) as an artist’s seal. Looking back on my first Rosh Hashanah cards from 5782 featuring my trio of gemstone pomegranates, it’s clear the pomegranate remains my muse after all these years and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

More recently, I’ve been looking for ways to make content creation feel a little more meaningful.

I’ve also been thinking a lot about how to share more of my heritage and culture in a way that feels natural to the stories I already love telling.

When this @birthrightisraelstorytellers opportunity came along, it felt like one of those moments where everything clicked.

Here’s to a week and a half of growth, reflection, new experiences and… travel & exploration in a different country!

Breathtaking to watch this potter wasp (Eumeninae) hard at work building a nest cell!! She’ll continue to collect mud and mix it with saliva to form this clay-like structure, into which she’ll then place paralyzed prey items (spiders or other insects) and lay her egg(s) on top so her offspring can have a nice meal when they hatch!! 😋

Who could resist a mini print vending machine at Glassfest? Obviously not me!

The artists behind Evergreen Studios, Annika Salzberg and Chloe Yi-Luo Cho, have the most adorable setup. The vending machine adds a new level of fun to their art. It was so irresistible that I made a trip back to my car to raid the console for quarters. I just had to buy a few prints.

A little sampling of the framed pieces we’ll be bringing to GlassFest and IthacaFest! Lots of the mini frames are thrifted and one-of-a-kind, so get them while you can! 🍅 @ithacafestival @gafferdistrict
