Some snapshots from a quick visit back in ICT for an art exhibit featuring @exaroa_______ and my niece. The rest is for me, memories, and family. Left a few copies of Tributaries with the brand new bookstore, The Final Draft. It was a dream come true to sip an espresso martini while perusing a well-curated collection of books. If you're in Wichita, check em out.

“Wheat,” a linocut print by Anna Haworth, student and front desk associate, on display in A Family Affair II now through December 22, 2023. Anna, aka A Lee, knew from a young age that art - creation and destruction - occurred by natural forces, while all else remained in flux. Perpetually driven to expression, a self-trained interdisciplinary artist, organizer, and poet; A Lee’s pieces are an interpretation of the world around us, and the composition of the mind that makes us errant and exquisite beings. View more of Anna’s work at @harvesterarts in the current Artist, INC. alumni show. #wichitacityarts #printmaking

OPEN TODAY FOR FIRST FRIDAY! A Family Affair II: CityArts Student/Instructor Group Exhibit in the Main Gallery and Main Hall now through December 24,2023 “This is our second Biennial Family Affair exhibit, showcasing the creative talents of those who walk through the doors of CityArts. You will find original artwork from students who have just taken their first class with us, or who have been a part of our family for 20+ years. Instructors display work that they might teach in their respective mediums while here, or they might show you something from a completely different art form that they work on in their home studios. I am impressed by the quality of the work everyone has submitted and I believe this is telling of how we are stronger together as a community. When we work together to share ideas, ask hard questions, learn, and grow, we rise together. You will see the pride that each of these artists have in their work as they showcase their range of abilities beautifully.” -Alisha Gridley, Executive Director We are open until 8:00pm for you to view the work and visit with any artists who might be present. #wichitacityarts #galleryexhibition
