POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

this month marks 20 years behind the kit for me.

i admittedly don’t know the exact day, but i know i first played a drum set sometime in october of 2002.

the memory is blurry at this point, but it was an instant love. i have a natural gravitation towards things that challenge me in some new way, and i remember sitting for hours trying to figure out how to get all of my limbs to move the ways they needed to (still figuring that one out, to be honest).

there are far too many milestones, memories, and moments along the way to list out here, so i’ll just say this:

my life wouldn’t be the same if i hadn’t found this. it’s been an incredible journey so far and i am immensely grateful to everyone who’s been involved. if we’ve ever played together or you’ve ever supported me in any way: thank you thank you thank you. i appreciate you so much more than i can say.

here’s to 20+ more.🤘

Had a blast remixing “ex-twerk” by @exbarb_ recently. There are numerous other renditions available on their soundcloud by local artists and today they’re putting new music out 💪 Get down on the brutal sounds and don’t forget- they don’t care if you dont got a booty, you can still do the ex-twerk 💃 🕺 #pdx #pdxmusic #hard #heavy #twerk #portland #portlandmusic #remix #space #time #mind #body #booty

Holy shit the #lanhamamps Dragon Slayer is amazing!! Cranked it's that pure boiling tubey growl that can only come from a high-end amp. And then you turn it down and it's this thick and wooly loveliness that doesn't lose articulation -- truly a remarkable amplifier. We are fortunate to be part of the Portland music community. Right down the street is @jim_amphead making Lanham boutique amps to the highest spec and generously letting us demo one!!
