No single layer is enough on its own — but stacked together, they save lives. Swim lessons build layer #4, and we’d love to help your family with it.

The best club teams are finding better ways to develop speed and power at every age. 🏊‍♂️⚡️

More age group programs are introducing resistance into their training—not simply to make sets harder, but to teach swimmers how to apply force, improve body awareness, and develop the qualities that eventually translate into faster swimming.

Tools like the Destro system give coaches the ability to manipulate resistance while keeping swimmers in the water and performing swimming-specific movements. That means athletes can learn what it feels like to push more water, generate more force, and maintain effective technique under load.

The key is appropriate progression. Resistance training for age group swimmers doesn’t need to mean maximal loads or exhausting workouts. It can be introduced thoughtfully, with the goal of developing movement quality, coordination, strength, and power over time.

The clubs developing these qualities early are giving their athletes a bigger foundation to build on as they get older. 📈

Resistance isn’t just for elite swimmers. It’s becoming another tool for smart long-term athlete development.

Train with purpose. Develop power. Build speed.
