The powerful, unapologetic and exquisite @goodtimemamajojo on the stage captivating our audience at the last @firestormcabaret - a well deserved standing ovation from the whole room - I may have shed a little tear at having a literal Uk burlesque Legend take to the Firestorm stage and blow everyone away! A most treasured memory 💖🙏🏼

By the power of dark magic, I've transmogrified into a gargantuan CROW and I'm commanding you all to feast your eyes upon this next set of cinematic images of my latest act from Saturday's @firestormcabaret in Bury St Edmunds. Photos courtesy of @excell_rocks 🖤. I'm hopelessly besotted with these fans - their razor-sharp edges are the perfect complement to my crow plumage. I'm really excited about this act, so book me or recommend me to your local show, so I can take this on tour to a stage near you! 🖤

Thankyou Matt from @excell_rocks
For this great review of "Away"
They might have been away a while but Broken Soul are back with a new song and it's okay, who am I fooling it's bloody great.

Having followed these guys from the start and knowing that Alex has similar musical influences to mine I always have high expectations and so far they've always delivered.

Imagine old school Alice In Chains, a dark and moody sound, maybe a bit heavier and you're well on your way to the sound of Away from Broken Soul.

There's no tippy toe introduction to this one you're straight into the distorted guitar and the expected vocal prowess of Alex delivering his musical story.

The story in question is that of the nightmares his daughter suffered when younger, fear not she's ok now.

Opening with the line "Hey little girl don't you cry...." you'll realise this is no cheery, happy number it's a beast of chugging guitars and if you watch the video, in which I had to double take at the resemblance between Alex and James Hetfield, you'll see that.

There's a brief haunting guitar solo in the song to give a brief respite as we near the end of the nightmare and the whole song is kept together at the low end with the bass of Tim and Nigel on the sticks.

If this is an indication of what's to come on the rest of the second album, the follow up to the awesome A Little Part of Me then bring it the fuck on.

If you want to catch the guys live this year then you'll have to wait for any dates to be announced and I'm sure they'll be some to coincide with the new album launch later in the year.
