Good Human | 025 PEZ

I’m not just saying this because he is one of my best mates, but @pez3aus is genuinely one of the best blokes you could ever meet and now finds himself as this weeks Good Human!

One of my earliest memories of Pez was him dressed up as a gangster wizard spinning some vinyl drum & bass at one of our New Year’s bush parties. I remember thinking “this guy is a fkn MAN and why is this music making me feel so good?” It was my first real taste of dance music and it solidified Pez as my all time favourite DJ.

At the same NY event a few years later, I was having a chat with Pez about passions, dreams and life goals. During that chat he told me his idea for a community DNB show called Exit Speed. It was one of the best ideas I had heard in a while and I could tell it was coming from such a pure place. The genuine passion was so contagious that I wanted to be involved however I could help out. Not long after that, @exitspeed_ launched and continues to evolve. A live club event with tees pressed on the spot kicked off a big first year & the YouTube channel is also now going strong. Pez runs all of this outside of his fulltime work because his love for the industry and community is so strong, anyone that has had any involvement with Exit Speed definitely can feel it as well.

Aside from all his ambitions, Pez also has one of the biggest hearts and never hesitates to show his friends how much he loves them. This guy is so special, writing this makes me feel incredible blessed & grateful that I have the honour of calling him a mate. The way that he shows up in his relationship with his partner & as a leader in our community inspires me to also lead by example and support others.

Pez, you are an absolute legend mate & I mean that with my whole heart. You deserve everything coming your way. Congrats on moving into your first house, seeing you whip out your own ironing board to make sure the hoodie looked as perfect as possible made me smile. It is a small thing, but shows a lot about how you care for things & put in that little extra effort, and that is a big part of what makes you unstoppable.

Another New Year's Bush party in the books - Dal O'Cal 2025/2026 (R.I.PETER)

What an incredible week, 6 days dancing in the bush with your closest mates, nothing can beat it. A whole spectrum of emotions was felt though, with @peter_szabz finding out he isn't a vampire, dislocated his hip and breaking his pelvis while doing so.

Peter is such a key leader in our community, so it hurt to see him go down and not be able to play his set after organising the whole sound system. But it was beautiful to see how it brought everyone together, will be back bigger than ever for next year!

This event is without a doubt my highlight of every year, and definitely didn't disappoint this time around!
