What a day it was! My client ordered a 6-inch heart-shaped cake with leopard print(which was printed on edible paper), red bows, and Maraschino cherries. I started baking my round cakes, but after letting them cool for a bit, I tried to release the 1st cake, and that's when disaster struck. It wouldn't lift, and the more I tried to lift it, the more it just started to fall apart. I thought it was just for the 1st pan, but all 3 wouldn't release properly, and it became a huge pile of crumble. I wanted to cry. Sure, I could make cake pops with them at another time, but time was of the essence.

With just a few hours left, I had to quickly bake new cakes, cool, frost, and decorate. It was incredibly stressful, but I pushed through it and got it done just in time. The cake turned out beautiful, and my client was thrilled with the result, which was all worth the hard work.

Sometimes, baking can throw you some curve balls, but the joy of seeing a happy client makes it worth the rush.

Every baker has a story like this one. Share yours!!!
