🛣️ Expect Paving Along Highway 40 And Around Kananaskis Lakes.

Road and parking lot paving is scheduled starting this week into early November, including King Creek, Grizzly Creek, Pocaterra, Elk Pass and Upper Lake.

Crews will work in different areas depending on the date, so check the full schedule before heading out. Dates may change.

Follow signs and crews’ directions, and expect some delays. All details are online at AlbertaParks.ca

Hot Girl Summer is over, it’s officially Fall Out, Boy

April 2026 — the beginning of our best summer ever.

Every Wednesday, we left our routine behind and went somewhere new. From hiking beautiful mountains to discovering hidden gems across Alberta and the BC border, we turned ordinary weekdays into extraordinary memories.

The early mornings, long drives, endless laughs, tired legs, breathtaking views, and moments when we just stood there admiring how beautiful life could be.

We didn’t just explore places; we created memories that will stay with us forever. And someday, when life gets busy and these adventures become a thing of the past, I know we’ll look back at this summer and wish we could live it all over again.

April to October 2026 — our Wednesdays, our adventures, our little escape from life, and honestly, our best summer.

Because one day, we won’t remember every place we visited, but we’ll remember how happy we were while living these moments.

Watching the first light of sunrise spill over the golden larches, with the mountains reflected perfectly on the still waters of Wedge Pond.

The air was crisp, the world was quiet, and for a moment, everything felt peaceful.

Where Autumn Burns Gold 🍂

There’s something special about autumn in Kananaskis. Golden aspens glow against the deep greens of the evergreen forests, while the undergrowth catches fire with shades of amber, copper and rust. Every turn seemed to reveal another layer of colour, a reminder that sometimes the simplest scenes are the ones that stay with you longest.
