FLAME BBQ and Music Festival is back at Jimboomba Park for one big Saturday, packing four plus hours of live country music, unlimited carnival rides and a huge line-up of specialty BBQ and food trucks into a single day out. It is a country music festival, a carnival and a BBQ cook-up rolled together, with general admission at $20 and every kid under 18 getting in free. For a family looking for a proper day out south of Brisbane, this is about as good value as a festival gets.

🎸 The full bill: Natalie Pearson, Maddie Collins, Matthew Barnes and DJ Dee Jaye Bux across four plus hours of live music.
💃 The line dancing: free lessons for all levels, so you can actually get up and join in.

THE FOOD AND THE FUN

🔥 The BBQ: pitmasters running everything from low and slow classics to flame-fired favourites.
🎡 The rides: unlimited carnival rides included with entry, and under 18s ride for free.
🚗 The extras: a vintage car display, market stalls and a beer garden for the adults.
🏆 The eating comp: an amateur and pro eating competition, entries from $15 on top of admission.
