My camera roll after my 4th annual Fall Enchantments Traverse 🍂🍁

I love staying at this @airbnb really close to the trailhead - it’s so cozy!

@explorenborgen and I started at 5:30am, knowing it would be a loooong day! You can either take a shuttle, or plan to have 2 cars for each trailhead.

this was my first year hiking the traverse with a friend and it was so fun! It’s a great idea to bring a friend on this *very* difficult trail.

First big view is Colchuck! But don’t get too comfortable, cause there’s a biiiig climb coming up.

Aasgard Pass is a huge climb in just 1 mile 😮‍💨 It’s also difficult to navigate, so make sure to download a map!

But once you get to the top, that’s when the magic begins.

We saw 6 goats this year!

The “core” section of the trail - where the best views and larches are - is actually only abt 2 miles long! So make sure to soak up the beauty in this very precious area.

We got so lucky to do this during prime larch season 👌🏻

✨JOY✨

The faces of 2 girls that are is complete denial about the MULTIPLE hours of hiking they have left

I usually have to filter water at least once at the top on this hike - and definitely bring a filter, as all the water is shared with other critters like this guy and is not always the cleanest

Last peek of larches before…

THE DOWNHILL

Most folks don’t realize that you begin the descent at mile nine and will continue downhill until the very end. Like forever and ever.

It’s very important to be a more experienced hiker, trip planner, and map reader before hiking this trail! It took me a few years to work up skills to do this comfortably.

This year I had to stop NINE TIMES to help lost hikers who refused to check a map or @alltrails and got other people lost also. It was very frustrating. Please don’t be them!

one last moment for the beauty

My annual tradition always includes ending the day with a celebratory dinner and drink at @rheinhausleavenworth and a brekky at @argocoffeeandbiscuits

The perfect end to my favorite fall tradition 🤍

how long it took us to hike📍Goat Lake ⏰

this is the first time in this series where we have been so under our predicted times 🤣 our times always include the time we spend at the lake / summit of a hike so I guess we didn’t spend as long at the lake as we thought!

Girls love riding glizzys down rapids!!! 🌭🌊

3 days on the Deschutes was just what the soul needed. @explorenborgen and I hosted a trip with @raftdra, and let me just say… it was magical.

They always say you shouldn’t meet strangers online, but this trip is proof that maybe you absolutely should. 🥹 There’s something so special about being on the river. It almost feels like time slows down, you get the thrill of the rapids, the calm of floating on still water, wildlife sightings, incredible food, and the best company.

And doing it all with a group of women? Yeah… pretty much the perfect vibe. 💅🏻

Making this recap gave us ALL the feels about just how special this weekend was. 🤍🌊🪿

Should we run it back next summer!? 👀

Here’s what the camera saw. This long weekend on the river was so special. The pretty much all gal group(shoutout to Jack in the gear boat), the glitter, the great food we had. It just was a trip that will live in our heads for the rest of time 🤍 I know I’ll want to be back 🌊

3 days, 13 amazing women, & 1 rafting trip to remember for a lifetime 🛶👩🏼‍🐰‍👩🏽

this rafting trip was so many new experiences in one. I got to meet so many awesome women from all over and spend three days fully unplugged on the river. from jumping off the raft, to playing games and water coloring at camp, to being stung by a bee - we had such a blast just enjoying the outdoors and each others company. definitely think we need to make this a yearly trip!

shoutout to my gals who taught me the meaning of some very important words 🫪 miss you guys already!

not to mention we had the best guides from @raftdra - Nichola and Lauren (and I guess Jack can be an honorary gal pal for this trip) ❤️
