That’s a wrap !
What’s not to love about the Mallee..
If silence and being alone is your thing, immersing yourself in nature, well look no further 👌🏼 There’s something so calming and therapeutic about spending time in a location like this. When you stop and just look for a minute you’ll be surprised what you find.

My my.. the light was something incredible walking back to camp as the sun set over the lake. The tones were golden, warm with a touch of pink. A sight to behold right at this moment. Just a minute later it was gone. Photos just don’t do some scenes justice.

We love visiting salt lakes - the colours, contrasts , textures and tones are really incredible at different times of the day.
I just love all the shades of pink salt 💖
What a bummer Milly couldn’t go for a fly here … no drone zone in the NP 😞 which is the case in most if not all national parks.

🦎 our first welcome visitor was a shingleback who was happy to catch the rays ☀️ from our camp.

The stunning landscapes of north western Victoria.
Milly the drone and I had a great time flying around. Can you spot the Roadrunner 🚙 and I ?

Our NEXT adventure begins soon 🚙 🥾 📷

I have some unfinished business here at this location… of the feathered variety.
Aside from the beautiful blue bonnets, mallee ringnecks and mulga parrots I hope to sight the tiny emu wren 🤞🏼 which eluded me earlier this year.
As we are heading into SA, we couldn’t resist a return trip to this NP.

🚙 Exciting times, our new adventure is just around the corner !
So while we were having a think about our upcoming itinerary (we’ll fill you in on that this week), we decided to have a couple of days back in this NP, it’s along the way and we’d be mad not to. I have unfinished business there of the tiny feathered variety ! So stay tuned here or on my wildlife account @lisa_loves_wildlife 🦅

📷 Some more snapshots from one of my favourite locations in Australia. This place forever changes - lots more water this time around due to all the recent rains that have swept through central Australia recently.
