POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s been over a year since I reintroduced myself, and since I have some new followers I thought I’d say hi 👋

As someone who always wants to be on the move, learning and growing, my journey with photography definitely hasn’t been a linear one.

But it has taken me to some amazing places in the world.

Am I where I thought I’d be now? Honestly, no. But I also didn’t ever make a plan to follow, I just had lots of jumbled ideas and some good fortune that allowed me to pursue some of them.

I can’t wait for the next trip with my camera, but until then I’ll be sharing the many many photos and videos I’ve had on hard dives from the last few years, as well as what I find in my local area.

We travel for moments like this. At The Cliff Nakuru, our room opened onto a balcony overlooking Lake Nakuru National Park, and as the evening unfolded, the sky turned into its own cinematic masterpiece; dramatic clouds, golden rays breaking through, and Lake Nakuru quietly stretching beneath it all. She settled into her chair and simply watched the world slow down, while I stood there thinking that this is exactly why we keep chasing new places. Not just for the destinations, the photographs or the stories we bring home, but for those fleeting moments when you pause, breathe, and realise how incredibly beautiful it is to simply be somewhere new together.

Beautiful darkness 🖤 A few days ago, I was fortunate to meet, photograph and spend time with Giza, Laikipia's legendary black leopard, named after the Swahili word for "beautiful darkness". I saw her cross the Ewaso Narok river and hunt at night. A rare privilege. Melanistic leopards like her are exceptionally rare to encounter, with the first confirmed sighting in Laikipia only in 2019. Watching her move through the dark, makes it easy to see why she's become almost mythical. Giza is still the same species as any other leopard and if you look closely enough, you'll notice her rosettes. Laikipia's conservancies are part of the solution to the leopards' habitat pressures from human activity.
.
Shoutout to my friend @destinoafrica_ and Graeme Lemon from Leopard Springs for sharing the adventure.

The beautiful Boulders female,

One of the last sights I had of her, moving briskly down the road. We are uncertain of of her disappearance but due to her age as well as not holding a territory it’s only a matter of time before these cats vanish, over the years we where treated with magnificence sightings and moments with her!
