Y’all showed out for our photo walk at Boston Commons with @chellypicphotography 🙌🏾🍂📸

Here’s what we did ⤵️
We introduced ourselves at the beginning, each of us shared what we’re taking photos with from film to digital cameras to phones! We took a group photo and did a photo share at the end of our favorite shots from the walk!

The right friends will never make you feel like you’re competing—they’ll make sure you’re in the room too. 🤎✨

Shoutout to the friends who plug you, recommend you, support your dreams, celebrate your wins, and genuinely want to see you thrive. Those connections are priceless. 🫶🏾

Be that friend, too. You never know whose life you can impact by simply sharing an opportunity, making an introduction, or saying, “I thought of you.”

Tag a friend who always looks out for you 👇🏾✨

Art isn’t always about inspiration—it’s about endurance. ✨

Keep creating through the doubt, the criticism, the quiet seasons, and the setbacks. One day, you’ll realize those moments were shaping your strongest work.

Stay patient. Stay persistent. Trust the process. Keep creating. 🤍

Happy Wednesday from the Soulful Sister Collective! We’re just days away from our next event: Self Care Stride ☀️

We’re excited to introduce to Marcia, who will be leading the way:

🌸 Marcia is a Boston-based photographer, visual artist, and creative entrepreneur. As the founder of @photosbymarcia and @expressiveartstudios, she creates portrait photography and mixed-media artwork that blends digital illustration with photography to celebrate culture, creativity, and connection, and she hosts monthly meetups for creatives. Marcia is also the coordinator of the Boston Muslim Run Club @boston.mrc a community-centered initiative that brings together Muslims across Greater Boston through wellness, movement, and meaningful connection. The club creates an inclusive space for runners and walkers of all levels while encouraging community building, accountability, and representation in fitness and outdoor spaces.

🌸 Join Marcia this Saturday for a leisurely photo walk around the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain. Together we’ll explore our surroundings, learn how to spot great photo opportunities in everyday scenes, and socialize with our sista’s! No prior photography experience is needed. All you need your phone/camera + comfy walking shoes.

thankful to be apart of the final market @blackmarketnubian at this location – met some great folks who were complimenting my artistry, and the idea of incorporating digital art ✨ i got more ideas for what other items to table the next time I vend too 😉

met so many amazing creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, chefs and everyone who’s apart of pioneering and making space and more room for the Black community in Boston. hearing the story about how Black Market was originated got me emotional, I have the upmost gratitude to the community involved in making this a safe space for gathering.

When I first came to Boston in 2020, I had a photoshoot here for a @jackfruit_everythang event and now seeing this space close their doors is a full circle moment 🥹🫶🏾

this isn’t the end, this is a new chapter ❣️
