Work work has been around the clock lately, and it was nice to take a breather for a dinner @extravirginkc and a surprise concert @kauffmancenter for a one night only of the Four Seasons, it was superb.

A little bit of Spain, right here in Kansas City! 🇪🇸

Did you know some of the Country Club Plaza’s most recognizable landmarks are replicas of ones in Seville, Spain?

And the Spanish influence doesn’t stop there! From tapas and paella to sangria and Spanish wines, there are plenty of ways to experience a little Spanish culture without leaving KC. 🍷

Did you know about KC’s connection to Seville, or was this news to you?

I couldn’t help but wonder… was it work-life balance, or just a really good blazer? 🍒 @extravirginkc

‼️CALLING ALL VILLAINS GREMLINS & BADDIES‼️

Simple reminder: you’re a fucking amazing, wonderful human being. Yes, I’m talking to you.

We’re all carrying something heavy right now: a newborn, family caregiving, wedding planning, multiple jobs, court dates. Life’s hard enough. Give yourself some grace. Wear your hair down and your attitude high!

And in the wise words of Tom Haverford and
Donna Meagle… ✨TREAT YO SELF✨

So that’s exactly what I did (on multiple occasions) at @extravirginkc. I started with the rabbit gnocchi (lunch exclusive, don’t sleep on it), moved through a tomato and watermelon salad that somehow works, and circled back for the fattoush and minestrone. I regret nothing.

I go during lunch or HH because in this economy shit’s expensive, but the food SLAPS 💢👋. Every dish hits different some bright and acidic, some rich and savory but it’s all balanced. Whatever they’re doing back there, I hope they never stop, because I’ll keep finding excuses to come back.

Villains.
Gremlins.
Baddies.
