I have been dreaming about dropping from a pool coping for over a year. I tried it and smashed my knee. I tried it again one month later and broke my ankle. 11 months later I succeeded at HALP 🥰. Next step is to do it again at 16 Mile Skatepark where I broke my ankle.

Thanks to all my skate friends who inspire me and helped me get here 🥰

And somehow I ended up on a podcast, yammering on about skateboarding.
Thanks @jeffthorburn for doing these, I'll leave the link in my bio, go follow Jeff while you're at it!

This guy's birthday today, the session is always lit if he's up in it.
Toronto area via the Ottawa area, Brent Jordan remains a powerhouse of stoke, sweat, and cheers.
Canadian master level of humility, not on Instagram, this is for all his friends!

Follow up on the Shogo Kubo bail sequence, @pjepix blew a forty year old whistle on this lapped over grind @cassimusfoto photo from August 1978 edition of Skateboarder Magazine.
The bail (which ran in May 1979 in Shogo's interview) is the rest of this story, swipe for it.
It's the same park, same day, same angle, same lighting. Same attempt? Looks like it?
Years later, but years ago, @ey138 doodled Shogo into a pinup girl, and gave them a current setup, and inked them onto my arm.
Shego Shogo, apparently about to bail.
Thanks for blowing my mind on this one Patrick!
