One of those last minute ideas that I knew would be a hit! I made these mini books this morning and added a label to the cover and ✨magic✨ a Sight Word Mini Book. Each week we will add in our new words using our @eyewordslearning cards as a visual. These have been such an amazing addition to our classroom. They help these words really come alive! “Why do you think there are glasses on the see card?” “Because they need glasses to SEE!” Comment EYE for a link to shop!

Each card embeds visual-contextual images, catchy auditory phrases, and fun kinesthetic actions — transforming hard-to-grasp words into something meaningful and memorable. ABC QUEST IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! 🔎👑✨ My bestie and I have been planning this ALL summer, and today I finally got to watch it come to life with my kinders! 🥹 Our first quest was M — and when I say M took over our day, I mean EVERYTHING was M! 💜 🐒 We started with a mystery monkey to discover our sound. 💜 Our Alpha Pals joined the adventure. 🍡 We did Munchie Math with marshmallows. 👄 We unlocked /m/ on our Sound Wall — and discovered that you can’t make /m/ when you pinch your nose. Naturally, we ALL had to test that one. 🤣 ✏️ We explicitly learned how to form M and practiced writing it. 💛 We opened our Mustard Journals and drew things that begin with /m/. 🐭 We read If You Give a Mouse a Brownie, made a mnemonic mouse, hunted for M’s and practiced echo reading. And during Writing Workshop, The Color Monster helped us bring M into our new “private offices” with a monster directed drawing and more M practice! Was it a LOT? Yep. 😂 Am I exhausted? Also yep. Did my kinders spend an entire day hearing, saying, finding, writing and connecting to one sound in meaningful ways? YES. 🥹🙌 And that was the whole dream behind ABC Quest. ✨ One letter. One sound. All day long. ✨ M is officially unlocked. 🔓 Now…who will we discover next? 👀🔎👑 #ABCQuest #KindergartenTeacher #KindergartenLiteracy #KindergartenActivities #ScienceOfReading
