2 weeks ago @eyrellew released their long awaited second album ‘Bloom’ which is incredible and everyone should own.

On a personal level it means a lot to me as it’s also Johnny’s first ever recording credit on an album for being part of the group that sang backing vocals on 4 songs (Everywhere, Semper Fi, Oban and Ebanon).

While it was also an honour to be asked to write the foreword which is on the back sleeve.

Anyway, they’re having an album launch at @nest_notts next month so hopefully see a few familiar faces there!

I love @eyrellew sounds. Bloom, the new album, is out. We’re playing a show at @nest_notts next month to celebrate!

Sam, Jack, Jack and Russ wrote and recorded the album in 2023, before we began as a five piece in 2024. We’ve played songs from Bloom in Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Edinburgh, London, Brighton, Manchester, Leicester, Wrexham and Notts. If you like the sounds, we’d love to see you in November. Grateful to play my part 💙

A little glimpse of BLOOM coming to life. 🌱

We spent a day at @nest_notts working through the set, putting visuals and lighting together, and seeing how these songs feel in the room we’ll be sharing with you on 15 November.

After so much time making the record, it’s lovely to spend time on this part, thinking about how each song should look and feel when we play it live.

There’s plenty still to do, but these photos give you a little peek at what’s taking shape. We’re excited to share the whole thing with you.

Join us for the BLOOM album launch.

On Sunday 15th November, we celebrate the release of our new album BLOOM with a huge hometown show at @nest_notts.

Joining @eyrellew for the night:

@haiverhaiverhaiver
Glasgow’s soaring indie-rock project led by Billy Kennedy of Frightened Rabbit.

@moransongs
Nottingham singer-songwriter duo bringing heartfelt harmonies, honest storytelling and sounds rooted in their Scottish and Irish heritage.

@sobsceneband (Solo)
Dreamlike shoegaze, ethereal grunge and washed-out guitars opening the day.

@domgourlay (dj)
Bringing all the indie, alt, left field bangers throughout the day!

We’ve wanted this show to feel like more than just another gig. It’s a celebration of BLOOM, the people who helped us make it, and everyone who has stuck with EYRE LLEW over the years.

We’ll be taking over The Nest with a huge 7m LED screen, expanded lighting and visuals built specifically around the album, and we’ve put together a line-up of artists we think fits beautifully around the music. Swipe through to meet everyone playing…
