My wife just knitted me this wool sweater !? It does not get more Icelandic than that. I am extremely old fashioned, and for her to honour this 400 year old tradition, means the world to me. It took her almost a month. Thank you ❤️

It’s been 7 weeks since I completed the hardest challenge of my life: a full Ironman in Jacksonville, Florida.

Now I’ve finally finished editing the footage @hybridmediabro got for me, and it’s honestly incredible to watch the final video. Adam was also easily the most important person to me on the day. You are incredible. The challenge is complete. I did what I said I was going to do, and I had my people with me every step of the way. Full video is now up on YouTube. Link in bio and story.

The only part where I fell short is the fundraising. So far, I’ve only managed to raise around 4–4.5 million ISK out of the 12 million I dreamed of raising to buy a new incubator for the Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

You could truly say that this project “Failed Successfully.”

I did everything I said I was going to do—except raise the amount of money I had set out to raise.

At the beginning of the video. There’s a short introduction. Then I show footage of something I haven’t discussed or spoken about at all: an individual who tried to drive into and kill competitors. The police had to ram his vehicle twice and then hold him at gunpoint—American style, I guess.

After that, there are clips from throughout the entire race, and watching them brings up all kinds of emotions.

I’m incredibly proud of this.

I’d like to keep the fundraiser open for another week or two before we hand over a check for a few measly million ISK to Kvenfélag Hringsins. ❤️ special thanks to @scottbrits my long time friend, amazing athlete, allowing this dream to happen, and doing it together. Love you man. Also @jastheodosiou for taking care of my family and me as well. Thank you so much 🖤
