Under The Dice Fest ‘26. A truly amazing weekend that re-affirmed my long held belief that the Greater DIY Space™ is one of the last remaining bastions of unabashed beauty.

As someone very new to the gaming scene, I was floored at the warmth and hospitality. There was no hierarchy, no gatekeeping. Folks seemed genuinely happy to be there without fronting or posturing.

A very special time and place that felt like a real community in an increasingly transactional world.

It was surreal to meet all the internet homies IRL. I’m incredibly grateful for all the games we got to play together, all the candid conversations we had, and all the laughs we shared. The older I get, and the more responsibilities I tack on to my ever-growing list, the more special weekends like this feel.

Many hugs & many high-fives were had. See you in ‘27.

I love my community. I love my friends. You might not know this about me but I don't have any biological family and haven't for a long time. This is it for me. If I seem overly earnest, or too sentimental, it's because you filled that void for me this past week in a way no community ever has. I love you. I mean it.

Another sappy friendship post...but holy fucking shit this weekend was insanely great. I got to hang out with a bunch of my favorite people, I got to become closer with those I want closer, I got to meet new people that fucking rule and already mean the world to me.

This whole community (I know the word gets thrown around too much, fuck you) is fucking great. Its what ive been searching for since I was 12 and got into this weird shit. It just took 24 years to get there.

I will probably make a blog post about it, for the two people who will read it...at some point when I can put into words how this past weekend has affected me, and what it means to me. Right now is just holding onto these feelings and emotions for as long as I can before they fade. I miss everyone very much already.

Tldr; everyone I have pictured here, I would kill for.

Be rad. Do rad shit with friends.

Huge thank you to all the generous gamers who participated in War on Hunger Doubles at Under the Dice Fest! It was utter mayhem as not only the players donated to the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts to cheat, but anyone walking by could donate to force an effect on one of the games being played! Anarchy ensued and this wonderful group reveled in it. Together, we raised an incredible $755 for our neighbors.

@bitsbibsorks and Ben took down the Golden Cans, making Brad a two time champion! Best painted went to @sallet_hobby for his awesome heavily converted undead. Will and AJ took home the less-coveted Rusty Cans for being such great sports.

Extra huge thanks to @reelsleazy for blowing the Horn of Valgaxath ensuring the Dread Lich was released from his prison to cause terror. Big big big thanks to @emilyamulligan for helping these run smoothly. MASSIVE thank you to Ryan from @thecryptpvd for an unbelievable amount of prize support and providing terrain. As always, War on Hunger would not be possible without him.

Fantasy gaming rules and so does helping people. If you want to do something like this, I am happy to share anything and everything.

Had a great day in the studio yesterday playing some of @crikeymiles excellent “Space Gits”. Space Gits is a game about “drunk-ass space orcs lootin’, shootin’, and scootin’.” The drunker your orc, the taller their dice tower. If the tower falls, your orc has stumbled over.

A bunch of our drunk-ass orcs wandered to the outskirts of Gnork to party in a swamp and it went great.

$Spent a good chunk of my nights earlier this year building a Mordheim board out of foam and sticks. It was cool getting it done in time for @fracturedrealmstabletop Mordheim event we had. I finally had a chance to play on it a few weeks ago against @eyyohbee . Overall im super stoked with how it turned out for my first big board build. I learned a lot while building it and definitely have more ideas for more Mordheim boards...$
