Introducing @ez_set
Track: Bread Ha

Describe something that happened this year that inspired you to make music.

“When I wrote this music I was surrounded by supportive friends that allowed me space to think creatively without pressure. The songs all feel very risky and vulnerable to me, unaware of their surroundings, simply going about their day.”

How has the changing political landscape the last 12 months impacted you personally?

“You realize that so many allies and political parties simply have no plan but want to help. When they do try to help it feels like you are an animal in a zoo rather than a friend or person.”

If your track were another great work of art, what would it be & why?

“Probably someone getting ready in the morning. Like, I was hoping to make it feel like a super chill day off with no responsibilities, no stress, just cruising through the day and seeing what happens. None of that chill morning then something bad happens and changes their life, more like a day when someone asks, ‘What did you do yesterday?’ You reply with, ‘Nothing much.’ It would be about a super chill day off with no responsibilities, no stress, just cruising through the day and seeing what happens.”

TDoV Compilation 2 is here! 🏳️‍⚧️🎉 March 31st is #transgenderdayofvisibility, a day for celebrating the lives and socio-cultural contributions of Transgender people.

TDoV Compilation 2 features 17 tracks from transfemme artists/projects. Transfemmes exist both at the nexus of the most extreme forms of hate and discrimination, as well as the most avant-garde aspects of music, art and creativity.

So before pleading for your pity purchase, it’s worth noting that this compilation fucking SLAPS. If you love the few trans artists the music industry has accepted, support the artists for whom your attention has far more meaningful impact.

Especially amidst rising anti-trans sentiment today and this week, month, year.. the artists on this compilation deserve your ears on this important day, at this important time.

We are so honored to have worked with these great artists. The best way to help trans people is through direct donation. Consider purchasing this compilation on bandcamp, streaming on all major platforms (besides spotify) or donating to local individual community funds.
