Gratitude is a must.

Photography has given me a life I once only imagined. Golf has introduced me to people I never would have met otherwise. I’m grateful for both.

Stay tuned. There are plenty more stories worth telling.

To the Southern University Golf Team,

You were an unexpected turn in my athletic journey—one I never could have planned, but one that changed my life forever. Before coming here, I had never truly played golf. When I saw that tryouts were being held, I sent in a simple video of my swing, not thinking much of it. Next thing I knew, I was being called to help build a program that had just been brought back to life. That moment marked the beginning of something special.

To my teammates—you became my family at a time when Southern football no longer wanted me. Your belief, encouragement, and competitiveness reignited a fire in me that I thought I had lost. Being surrounded by natural competitors pushed me to grow, not just as a golfer but as a person. Because of you, I went from a 30 handicap to an 11 in under two years. I know I wasn’t always the best during tournaments, but the friendships I made—both with my teammates and even my opponents—are unforgettable. Every single one of you left an impact on my life, and for that I will always be grateful.

To the coaches, none of this would have been possible without you. Thank you for believing in me when I couldn’t play the sport I originally came here for, and for teaching me a game I never knew I could love at the collegiate level. Your patience, guidance, and support meant more to me than you’ll ever know.

It’s hard to believe this chapter has come to an end, but I will carry the lessons, relationships, and passion this sport gave me forever. One day, I’ll be good enough to truly challenge myself—and when that time comes, I know it’ll be a great match. I wish I had started sooner!

Goodbye, Southern Golf. You shaped me in ways that will benefit me for the rest of my life, and I’ll always be thankful for what this program and this family gave me. 💙⛳️

Spent an amazing day yesterday with new friends Desmond, Tim, Marcus, and Faith, one of Naliaka’s girls. It was so much fun! Growing up in the same golf academy with Faith was such a special experience we used to play together under the guidance of Pro Rose Naliaka, our mentor and coach. To now share the course together on this side of the world feels like such a blessing.

Faith is currently studying in the USA. Studying in the USA was once just a dream, and now we’re living it. All we can do is keep hoping for the best.

A huge thank you to Rose Naliaka for believing in us and to the incredible friends and families we’ve met here we’re forever grateful.

Wishing you all happy holidays! 🫶🏽
