So incredibly grateful to have been trusted to document this day at Rimrock Ranch. There’s a reason I love when couples choose a venue like this. Rimrock sits on 36 acres in the high desert of Pioneertown, surrounded by open desert, old cabins, Airstreams, incredible architecture and that unmistakable Pioneertown character. It already has so much personality before a single wedding detail is added. (Rimrock Ranch) And I really do believe the setting of a wedding has an effect on how the day feels. There was such an ease to this one. Everyone felt present. Families were actually spending time together, friends were fully in it, and there were so many little exchanges happening all day that had nothing to do with posing for a camera and everything to do with people genuinely loving these two. That’s what I love most about photographing weddings in places like Rimrock Ranch. The venue doesn’t overpower the day—it gives everyone room to settle in, connect and just experience it. Being invited into something that personal and being trusted to preserve it will never be lost on me. Trevor and Nathan didn’t want their wedding at Cache Estate to look like anyone else’s. So the tables came in olive branch and soft greenery, the cake wore the same palette down to the last leaf, and when the sun dropped, the whole property lit up under hanging chandeliers and string light for a night that didn’t quit. Two grooms in black tie, a dance floor that never emptied, and a money dance that had the whole tent on its feet. Weddings feel different when the couple lets the day be exactly theirs. This one was.
