Could you stop for 30 seconds… for 250 families in need? ❤️

This July, we are stepping out in faith through our very first Community Impact Day to support vulnerable families and children in Jinja.

No support is too small. Together, we can bring hope, meals, school supplies, and smiles to those who need it most.

In Bugembe, Jinja, some children go to bed after just one meal a day.

Not because their parents don’t care.
Not because they are careless.
But because there is simply not enough to go around.

One meal is shared among many small hands.
And for a child, hunger becomes something they learn to live with, not complain about.

In this same place, many families live on just 1–2 meals a day. Three meals is not a routine—it is a struggle. Hunger here does not look like crisis every day… it looks like everyday survival.

But this was never meant to be normal.

“Give us this day our daily bread.”

That prayer is not just words here—it is life.

And it raises a hard question for anyone hearing it:
what does “daily bread” mean when daily is already not enough?

We believe God doesn’t only hear that prayer—He responds through people willing to act.

Maybe that is where you come in.

Because hunger here does not announce itself.
It just stays… quietly, day after day.

If even one child could eat consistently because someone cared enough to respond, then this is not a small thing.

Be part of the answer.

🧘🏻‍♀️Most of us didn’t have healthy models to teach us emotional regulation.

Our parents’ and grandparents’ generations used punishment and consequences and rewards to influence our behaviors.

But thanks to research in neuroscience we have a much better understanding of the mind-body connection and how our nervous systems influence our reactions and behaviors.

If we aren’t attuned to our own bodily needs and if we don’t understand how to regulate ourselves, we’re going to have a very tough time trying to model it for the kids.

ESPECIALLY if your child is autistic, neurodivergent, and/or has ADHD, they need co-regulation even MORE than other kids due to sensory stimulation and challenges with executive function.

⏰ It’s NOT too late to learn regulation skills! And you can start slow and go at a pace that works best for you.

📣 “Meltdowns to Mindful Micromoments” is a FREE Facebook challenge designed to help you do just that! I’ll be going live in the “Regulation Revolution” parenting group to teach you easy and effective practices that will help you get in touch with your own emotions and needs.

🎉 Sounds fun, right?!? 37 of you are already in, who’s next?!?

👇🏼 Comment “I’m in!” and I’ll share the sign-up 🔗 with you 💫 or you can click the link in my bio.

⏳ We start Tuesday, September 5. See you there! ✨

Her face at the end. 😂 It’s taken me a long time to know that I’m not TOO MUCH nor NOT ENOUGH. Many of us struggle with this belief, and then change ourselves and our shape accordingly- living at a distance from ourselves in order to fit in, to be accepted socially. Yet true belonging happens when we allow ourselves to be exactly who we are, with our warts and bumps and bruises, and find the people who loves us just like that. ❤️ Tag someone who offers that kind of acceptance to you.
