@f3mnn3m & @spacydtx present a special screening of Shatara Michelle Ford's Dreams in Nightmares! @dreamsinnightmares

Plays one night on Sept 5th 7pm featuring a post-screening mixer to find your next friend willing to go on a crazy adventure with you!

GIVEAWAY HAS BEEN CLAIMED! THANK YOU TO ALL WHO JOINED

With their second film, Shatara Michelle Ford puts their singular stamp on the American road movie. Dreams in Nightmares, which stars Denée Benton (The Gilded Age) and Jasmin Savoy Brown (Yellowjackets, Scream 7) follows a group of queer friends in their mid-30s navigating love, identity, and belonging across America.

Anchored in themes of chosen family and self-discovery, the film blends humor and emotional depth against the backdrop of a journey through the Midwest and beyond. Dreams in Nightmares is an expansive and tender ode to the chosen family and to the radical act of claiming space to dream—and to exist—in an increasingly fraught country.

Special thanks to @lunettefilms

“Addressing the cancellation of Wet Hot Sapphic Summer Night

I wanted to make it clear that it is of no fault to Fem N Nem or Butch Femme Social Club that this event had to be cancelled. This is entirely because of our own shortcomings and the difficulties being an event venue and a business in a state actively trying to get rid of spaces like ours. With the recent bans affecting us significantly more than we initially thought the funding for this event switched to being entirely dependent on ticket sales and unfortunately there wasn’t enough to cover the costs. With that, I want to personally apologize for not pushing the marketing further on my end because Fem N Nem and Butch Femme Social Club did amazing, as they always do. Ultimately, due to financial constraints, we couldn’t feasibly move forward with doing the event because we wouldn’t have been able to payout our staff or the collaborators tied to the event that are 100% deserving of being properly financially compensated. We’d like to directly apologize to not only the collaborators and performers of this event but also to the people that attend our events and theirs that wanted to come out and party.

We are committed to doing better and will keep on fighting to keep venues like ours open and thriving.
