THURS JULY 23 - Resonant Threads in the Garden ROOM - 7 - 9pm
$10 online - $15 at the door - link in bio

This month's Resonant Threads features free improvisation by Searching For Beauty.

Three Sacramento improvisers — @f3talface & @davidthomas9161 & @jenn_schaaf — will weave soundscapes drawing from improv, drone, jazz, and dub into a restorative, healing stew.

Free Improvisation with Searching For Beauty

Rachel Freund - Bass Clarinet/loops
Dave Thomas - Guitar/effects
Jenn Schaaf - Drums/percussion

Resonant Threads is a new monthly series presenting jazz and free improvisational music in an intentional listening environment, curated by @aikoshimada.music.

Every Fourth Thursday, we cultivate a space where audiences can engage deeply with sound and performers can truly hear one another, enabling nuanced, real-time responses—unlike loud venues where conversation and distractions drown out the music. The series resembles an art exhibition: instead of works on a wall, performances are presented as sonic installations that invite listeners to appreciate texture, timbre, form, and the visual presence of performance.

We hope to see you there—please spread the word!
